FactoryRegistry is a free, public map and registry of U.S. manufacturing facilities — NAICS 31–33 — compiled from federal records and kept current.
As of JUL 2026 it lists 274,582 facilities across 3,059 counties. Every page is public. See Trust for how we operate.
Each facility is assembled from independent federal sources. Where those sources disagree, the record keeps both and shows which said what, and when. Operating status is computed nightly: a facility is marked Active only when two or more independent sources show an operating signal within twelve months. Sources that merely prove a facility exists — a permit registry, for example — never on their own make a facility look alive.
Federal data is imperfect and facilities change. Every facility page has a correction link, and corrections are reviewed and recorded as signals against the record rather than silently overwriting it. If you operate a facility, claiming its page is the fastest route — claim a page.
Some facilities carry no coordinates because their address could not be matched to Census TIGER. Those are listed with location marked unverified and are not placed on the map — we would rather show nothing than a pin in the wrong place. Records with no operating signal and no federal activity for more than a decade are retained internally but not published.
