The COSMIIC System is a flexible and extensible platform technology configured with stimulating and sensing modules for research applications. The system includes a power module with Li-ion battery and ARM processor, a pulse generator module with four independent channels, a biopotential recording device with two channels for myoelectric signals, a hive module with 64-channel recording and 32-channel stimulation capability, a swarm module for remote powered inertial measurement, and a nectar module for 20 kHz electrical nerve block. The platform is designed to support benchtop, chronic animal, and first-in-human studies and is available as open source.
